In this system, you will be analyzing the movement of Exponential Moving Averages and an RVI indicator. These indicators are crucial to the overall operation of this trend-following trading strategy. The EMA has periods of 18 and 28 - these two EMAs hint to us when the market has formulated a bullish or bearish trade thus giving us a clear indication of which direction to trade-in. Then we have the RVI indicator - which is the primary signaling source for any buy or sell trade position we will be taking up.
There are not a lot of things you need to pay attention to when trying to execute a buy or sell trade. It just follows a two-step process that simplifies your trend-following trading experience. You can open your buy position when the blue RVI indicator crosses the red RVI to the upside. Secondly, the 18-period and 28-period EMAs have to cross upward.
When these two events have taken place then you may open your buy trade. Your stop loss may be placed right below the recent swing low. If the EMAs cross the tunnel again in a bearish direction then you can close your buy position. You can open your sell position when the blue RVI indicator crosses the red RVI to the downside. Secondly, the 18-period and 28-period EMAs have to cross downward.
When these two events have taken place then you may open your sell trade. Your stop loss may be placed right above the recent swing high. If the EMAs cross the tunnel again in a bullish direction then you can close your sell position. Lastly, do not hesitate to activate a trailing stop to protect your gains when the market continuously moves in your favor.
