The MA RSI Scalping Strategy For MT4 is a forex trading system that makes use of custom indicator called the MA RSI. As the title suggests, this indicator is basically the moving average indicator that you see on the charts. However, what is unique about this custom indicator is the fact that the moving average indicator is based off the RSI levels as well.

Looking at the choice of indicators used in the MA-RSI scalping strategy, dis trading system can be used to scalp the short term markets or it can also be used as a way to swing trade in the markets as well. The choice of indicators used in this trading system or quite interesting and rather unique. As a result, they give a unique perspective of the markets with some traders might enjoy. While there have been trading strategies that makes use of custom indicators, here in the case of the MA-RSI scalping strategy, we find that these custom indicators really gave an additional or a different view of the markets. .


The indicators that are used in the MA-RSI scalping strategy are only three. However, there are multiple instances of the MA, RSI indicator that is used. The three instances of this indicator is what makes up for the indicators that you see on the price chart. There is initially the thick moving average line which serves as a trend filter. This indicator changes color from green to red and vice versa depending on whether price is trading above or below the indicator.

Finally, in the main sub window we have a custom indicator called the MA-RSI triggered indicator. This is basically an oscillator that moves around the zero line. The only difference here is that the bullish and bearish market conditions are depicted somewhat differently. As a result, this indicator in the sub window tends to give really unique perspective of whether the markets are moving in an uptrend or in downtrend.


Last but not the least, there are also the intraday pivot level indicated. These pivot level indicators can be used as a way to book profits in the market. You could also make use of pivot level indicators as a way to set your entry and exit levels if you are using this on the short term chart timeframe. As we mentioned earlier, you can make use of the MA RSI scalping strategy even on the higher chart timeframes. In this instance, the only difference being that you will need to remove the intraday pivot levels in order to make the indicators work for you in the longer chart timeframes.

This means that firstly, price action will need to be moving above the main thick moving average line. Around this time, you will see that this main moving average line will already be plotting in green color.


The next step is to then look for the short-term turning points in the price. This is where the next two moving averages come into the picture. In this instance, you should be looking for both the two short term moving averages trading above the main moving average line and wait for a bullish crossover to happen. The next step is to look to the indicator in the sub window. Here, the MA RSI trigger indicator should be ideally trading above the zero line.


Around the time when there is a bullish crossover above the main moving average line, you will also see that the MA RSI trigger indicator will also drop to zero and then rise higher again. This is the ideal condition for you to take a long position in the market. Set your stop loss to the recent swing low that has formed and using the pivot level indicator, you could make use of the upper resistance levels as your potential take profit levels for your trades.




MA-RSI scalping strategy for MT4 – Short positions




To take short positions using the MA-RSI scalping strategy, you would be basically looking for bearish market conditions. This means that firstly, price action will need to be moving below the main thick moving average line. Around this time, you will see that this main moving average line will already be plotting in red color.


The next step is to then look for the short-term turning points in the price. This is where the next two moving averages come into the picture. In this instance, you should be looking for both the two short term moving averages trading below the main moving average line and wait for a bearish crossover to happen. The next step is to look to the indicator in the sub window. Here, the MA RSI trigger indicator should be ideally trading below the zero line.


Around the time when there is a bearish crossover below the main moving average line, you will also see that the MA RSI trigger indicator will also rise to zero and then fall back again. This is the ideal condition for you to take a short position in the market. Set your stop loss to the recent swing high that has formed and using the pivot level indicator, you could make use of the lower support levels as your potential take profit levels for your trades.
